Q: Is there a minimum safe distance required for shooting JPX at an assailant's face or eyes?

A: Yes. The required safety distance is 5 ft (1.5 meters), measured between the nozzle of the JPX and the assailant's face.
Q: What if there is less than 5 ft between the nozzle of the JPX and the assailant's face?

A: Do not shoot the JPX at an assailant's face unless the nozzle is at least 5 feet away. If you are closer than the required safety distance do the following:

1. Shoot the first shot on the assailant's upper chest.
2. Use the moment of surprise and step back until the nozzle of the JPX is at least 5 feet away from       the assailant's face.
3. Shoot the second shot on the assailant's face. 
4. Get away from the scene and call 911.

Q: Is JPX compatible with ECD's?

Q: Can the JPX be legally carried in the US?

A: Yes. The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives determined that the JPX does not constitute a firearm. Though legal in all 50 States, some areas have specific regulations pertaining to the purchase, possession and use of OC defense products. The following states each have varying restrictions: CA, FL, HI, MA, MI, NJ, NY & WI. We suggest that you familiarize yourself with the local laws in your area. If you have questions, you should contact your local Police Department. The JPX Jet Protector is meant for defensive purposes only and can only be sold to or used by persons 18 years of age or older.
Q: Does the JPX have a safety on it?

A: No, the JPX uses a double action only trigger system with a 14lb trigger pull.
Q: What is the best cartridge for consumer use?

A: Law Enforcement and Consumer cartridges are available. The primary difference between these cartridges is their range. Either one is appropriate for consumer self-defense.
Q: Can the JPX be shipped Overseas from the U.S.?

A: No, there are distributors in most countries that we can refer you to.
Q: Can a JPX be purchase in NY state?

A: Yes, but only through one of our licensed dealers
Q: How long do the OC cartridges last?

A: Typically the life of the cartridges is about 3 years.
Q: Is the performance of JPX affected by hot and cold?

A: No. Unlike a conventional pressurized liquid OC canister that may explode due to extreme temperatures, the JPX has a self-contained propulsion capsule and is not pressurized giving it the ability to withstand temperatures above and below conventional liquid OC canisters. 
Q: How long will an assailant be incapacitated after being hit in the face by the JPX?

A: Depending upon the individual's tolerance, the incapacitating effects of one JPX OC shot typically last 45-60 minutes.
